We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor that is able to manage a project from start to completion, reporting into the director.
Duties will include:
Completion of Valuations and Variations
Working closely with the supply chain
To prepare, submit and agree all Final Accounts in a timely manner that achieves best value for the Company
Prepare the submission and agreement of any contractual claims as requested
Submit detailed, accurate and timely interim applications for payment
Check that all sub-contractors are procured to the programme and that agreements are robust in order to achieve best value
This Quantity Surveyor role is within a smaller family established business, so is likely to suit an Quantity Surveyor that has come from a similar size company. The team work closely together and support each other. With a smaller company it will sometimes mean rolling up your sleeves and helping across the team
At least 4 years UK experience as a Quantity Surveyor, working for a main contractor- within a construction or refurbishment projects.
Good knowledge of the construction industry
Good knowledge of contract conditions and law within the Construction Industry
Excellent organiser with proven time management skills
Excellent communication skills
