To finish off the week on a high, we are very proud to announce that we have been awarded a contract to make improvements on the site at Corby Tata Steel plant. This is excellent for the business and for our staff to get more local work. Many of the M.R team are here in Corby today because of their grandparents moving from all over the UK to work on this site. The site opened in 1935 however it wasn’t until the 1950’s when the Glasgow overspill saw many people come down from Scotland to live and also work in the Steelworks. Over the next few decades there was an influx of people that moved from all over to work in the Steelworks.

Here’s a few words from our Director Matthew Ross: “ I am very proud that we have just won our first contract for Corby Tata Steel, this site is very close to me & my family’s hearts, a few of which work here at M.R, both of my grandads have worked there and my parents moved down from Scotland because of British Steel offering them jobs many years ago. This is the reason why I am living in Corby (Little Scotland) today.
My business has been running for almost 6 years now & we have a great reputation from delivering projects all over the UK and its great to now be gaining a lot more local work that’s on our doorstep. Its fantastic for everyone in the business & I’m excited about the future!”
