Our Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) Team

MR Industrial Services Limited Senior Management are fully committed to zero injuries, illnesses, and incidents. In fact we do and always will believe, ‘Zero is Possible’.

We firmly believe that all loss, inclusive of Injury, illness, building and property damage and any local environmental issues, can be identified, controlled and ultimately prevented through governance, training and communication with all internal and external bodies that could be affected by our acts and omissions.

We will ensure that our workforce, and any other party that could affected by our acts and omissions are properly consulted on all SHEQ matters that may affect them directly or indirectly.  Furthermore, we will ensure that any direct or indirect workforce concerns are reach the appropriate level and are dealt with in a timely manner.

We will ensure that all aspects of our business are fully risk assessed and regularly reviewed; working with our employees to ensure their input forms part of any risk assessments undertaken by MR Industrial Services Limited.

As a business and using ‘Zero is Possible’ as a mantra, we will aim for the following objectives:

  • Zero lost time injuries
  • Zero vehicle incidents
  • A Net Zero target for Scope 1 and 2 by end of 2025
  • A Total Incident Rate (TIR) of 2.50
  • Ensure all employees have a minimum of NVQ Level 1 Award in Health & Safety in a construction environment or equivalent.
  • Reduce all energy usage from non renewable sources by 50% based on 2022 data.
  • Achieve and maintain a maximum of 0.15% of our waste going to landfill with an optimum target of zero to landfill.
  • Save approx. 300k in mileage (Scope 3) based on 2022 numbers
  • Ensure 100% feedback on all supplier and client PQQs along with any supporting documents.

As a caring organisation, we are fully aware that any accident or any incidents that affects mental health and wellbeing, can have an adverse effect on our employees, contractors and clients, including business reputation and relationships.

We aim to continually improving our Integrated Management System (IMS) standards on all sites whilst assisting our clients in the management of health and safety risks on projects at every stage of the project. Our goal is to ensure all projects regardless of size, are carried out and managed efficiently, in compliance with all legal standards and best practice, to assure delivery of your project, safely, on time and in budget and in line with our Code Of Ethical Standards.

What can you expect?

Our focus helps us create and maintain a fit for purpose working environment, and to this end we will:

  • Perform any necessary and regular audits, surveys, and inspections both at our workshops and sites were MRIS are represented.
  • Identify, communicate, control and review all hazards and risks.
  • Provide advice on how to minimize and avoid those hazards and risks.
  • Identify and deliver relevant training where there is deemed a need.
  • Monitor and improve all relevant standards across the business.
  • Ensure all employees are trained and competent in the tasks they carryout.
