M.R Industrial Services Ltd design, fabricate and install secondary steelwork and architectural products to the construction sector. Typically, these items would be balustrading, access stairs, access ladders, mezzanine floors, gantry’s and architectural feature stairs.

Due to sustained growth, we are looking to add an experienced Brake Press / Guillotine Operator to the team to work on projects and improve efficiency.

This position will be based at our second facility here in Corby and you will be directly reporting to the workshop supervisor and production manager.

Role/Responsibilities:

• Report directly to the workshop supervisor.
• Work out developed lengths and plate sizes as required from design drawings DXF and PDF files.
• Cut Materials as required.
• Mark out materials as required.
• Mark/identify all production folded and cut items.
• Palletise cut and folded materials.

Ideal Skills/Experience:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience operating Brake press and Guillotines.
• Operating a Morgan Rushworth Brake press or similar.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience within a sheet metal production shop.
• Be able to read drawings electronically and paper.
• Work to a high level of accuracy.
• Be able to work to a daily and weekly planner.
• Ability to adapt to change
• Excellent time management and prioritisation skills needed to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to communicate (verbal and written) with in-house and external teams.
• Be able to work closely with workshop supervisor/production manager to deliver projects to schedule.
• Willing to embrace a strong ‘TEAM’ ethos of the company
